There's something so beautiful and sad in that I must've brushed against
so many other trans women when I was 3-5, but didn't know till now.

سعلوة “There were a lot of prostitutes in our neighborhood. Mom would take me and ------- Ena and ----- out to visit with them, in the front entrances of their brothels, and evangelize them. They usually were wearing bikinis or lingerie and high heels and usually had blonde dyed hair and lipstick. Mom told to look away from them because they were immodest, but she still brought us all out to visit them. One time, the prostitutes we were chatting with started running from a specific man and hiding from him, so Mom decided that we should run too. And so we did.”
