(Taken from grandparents.md, written April 15, 2024) I was doing homework, searched some papers, and found out my dad wrote a reminder for himself. How to transfer his mom between her chair and her bed after she lost the ability to walk. I've copied it letter for letter below.

Moving Mom

From Chair to Bed

Remove blanket, pillows and lower feet

Push lift up

Hook red straps near head and yellow on lower part

Lift and move

Lower wall on bed

Line up lift pole with bed rail pole

Put her feet to the right of the lift pole

Raise her up higher to clear bed

Lower her straight and unhook.

Remove sling but leave chuck on bed. To remove, make sure wall is up, fold and push sling over as much as possible, then roll. Then pull out other side.

From Bed to Chair

Roll

Put sling down, measure so comes a little beyond the side of her hip.

Put chucks on sling, shove as much under her as can. Can be crumbled.

Roll and pull out sling and chucks.

Hook her up. Raise her and transfer to red chair.

Make her feet straddle the lift post. Make sure lever is up.

Lower her, pulling on the strap by her bottom to help her back be against the back of the chair.

Leg rest up.

Pillow folded in half and pushed down at her side to take up gap.
