We went on a walk. I talked to the shorter brother about circumventing issues getting books out of non-local bigger libraries. We crossed a large bridge, locks with couple names dotting the sides, some very wobbly wood boards in parts. Eventually reached the local public zoo they'd mentioned painting animals from. Reminded me of Macedonia the way every animal was easily pettable with barely any safety restriction. Geese migrated from Canada were in the pond. We fed them peanuts and my lil bro tried to catch one. One of their brother's wives was falling far behind cuz she kept stopping and taking pictures of every little thing for ages, a mother goose sitting by the pond, a little bug on a leaf. She just like me fr

On the way back a random black pitbull-esque dog with no collar no nothing ran up and we were all petting it till we heard its owner call for it. We lured it back with my lil bro and the owner was screaming BAD DOG IMA BEAT YOUR ASS
Im struggling to keep track of all the good things that happened but after more meal and talk we all went out to properly see the neighborhood. Took turns trying their new electric scooter. Country music that sounded like Tool blasted from one guy's garage. A confederate flag peeked out from another. Some places looked abandoned for the aesthetic while others were genuinely abandoned.

The cabin the original settler of this town lived in is just There still, with some random shopping bag stuck on it.
My dad and their brothers talked for a long time by the river about how God fated us to be friends, while the wife sat on a bench and silently watched the water glisten.
Random frumpy kids chased each other and shouted profanities. I found a toy soldier on the road. Rifle and stand bent so it couldn't stay upright. Their dad solved it with a homeopathic remedy (wrapping part of a napkin through the legs). Halfway back home my lil bro started kicking a stick and their brothers started kicking it back and soon enough we were playing soccer like we did back in Gaziantep.
