Mokosh

A survival horror game about a scientist who is forced to hide under the sea in a submarine, unable to surface, after a fascist regime invades the society surrounding it.

I designed the first iteration of this concept back when I was 10, because my main interest at that time was undersea exploration. It was a Scratch game I never really finished. I've iterated on the concept a few times over the years, but it mostly stays saved on my shelf for when new inspiration strikes.

Later iterations have had a supernatural element to varying degrees, primarily relating to the biblical garden of Eden and evolutionary science.

The game had no name up until March 2022, when I ended up going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole, going from reading about the Russo-Ukraine conflict into reading about Ukranian folklore, where I read about Mokosh and named it after her.
